The Ghee

When prototyping the circuit stickers I designed as part of Paper PCB, I learned a nifty method for etching circuit boards at home called the toner transfer method. I'm not sure how the idea came to me, but I thought it would be neat to use the same method for some interesting artwork.
I whipped up a topographic map of my favorite ski resort, Grand Targhee, in Illustrator. I transferred a print to a bit of extra flexible PCB stock I had left over from Paper PCB and etched it using ferric chloride, polished, lacquered, and framed it.
I've still got a bit of cleanup to do and eventually I'd like to backlight it. That said, I think it turned out pretty cool!
